MBLAQ supports MBC's "2011 Give Life To A Child' Campaign"

MBLAQ has set out for the streets of Youngdeungpo’s Time Square for MBC’s 50th anniversary event, the “2011 Give Life to A Child” campaign.

Through the campaign, the boys introduced and raised awareness about bone-marrow transplants. They also aided in helping donors who wished to help out take the correct steps to make it happen.

Despite the pouring rain, MBLAQ and the citizens of Korea made a heartwarming promise to share their hope with the sick children of the nation. The boys’ good deeds didn’t end there though, as the members also took an oath promising to become donors themselves.

National Idol Sports Festival, the real 'beastly' showdown.

On the 20th April, 48 idols with MC Kim Tae Hyun and Kim Shin Young attended the KBS "National Idol Sports Festival" at Bucheon Stadium.

BEAST, MBLAQ, 4Minute, Secret etc, 48 idol stars representing their hometown to compete in various fitness activities, unfolding a fierce competition.

Especially MBLAQ's Lee Joon, who excelled in activities such as sit-ups, 50m race, in-line skating, amazed others with his outstanding skills, and also won himself medals.

On the other hand, the new generation idols' fitness king will be revealed on 30th April, Saturday, 5:10PM, in KBS "National Idol Sports Festival".

MBLAQ, Japan debut song 2 championships achievement on the chart?

"School of vampire K-POP dance group" MBLAQ is carrying out their Japan debut with their single "Your Luv" on May 4th. The incoming movie® of that debut single "Your Luv" has seized the 1st place on Recochoku daily ranking (referring to 4/22) since it started to be distributed on April 22nd. Continuing with the 1st place on the incoming song® daily ranking (referring to 4/20), two championships have been achieved.

MBLAQ’s Leejoon + 2AM’s Jinwoon On Infinity Challenge Rolling Together?

Mblaq’s Lee Joon and 2AM’s Jinwoon will be appearing in the Special Rowing Competition of ‘Infinity Challenge”.

From the broadcast on the 22nd, the staff revealed that Lee Joon and Jinwoon, plus the IC members entered a special rowing competition just recently.

The members of IC will be competing against 9 people including a professional sportsman. Despite the number, they needed two more to make a full team; so they finally decided to personally choose the two members. 

During last week’s broadcast, the cast members of IC contacted their close idol friends as to whether they could participate in the competition. The candidates and the IC members came together for an urgent meeting concerning the 1000m test race on a rowing machine. This was used to determine the top 2 among the candidates. Lee Joon and Jinwoon were able to top the scores.

The rowing event is the first professional competition of IC, and they will be targeting to participate in the upcoming summer seasonal event.

Further more, in the broadcast of the 23rd, the members were not in the swimming pool. They were found training at the arena of where the rowing comp will be held.

MBLAQ takes over "Chaku Uta chart" + Single Jacket Covers & tracklist revealed?

The powerful, bad boy aura of Korean idol group MBLAQ is quickly enveloping Japan, as G.O, Seung Ho, Lee Joon, Thunder, and Mir prepare to make their mark in one of the world’s largest music industries with their debut on May 4th.

The group is already well on their way to a promising debut. After releasing their title track, “Your Luv“, in ‘chaku uta’ form on April 19th, MBLAQ propelled themselves to the #1 spot in just a few hours.

Their coupling tracks, “Into the light” and “Daijoubu“, have also been released in ‘chaku uta’ form.



“Your Luv” will be released in 3 different versions: ‘A-type’, ‘B-type’, and ‘C-type’.

(Radio Programas del Peru, one of the most important news sources in Peru)

On April 10th, WOWOW aired the big South Korean music event “DREAM CONCERT 2010” in Japan and many Japanese K-pop fans were pleased to see the performances of many of their favorite Korean artists on TV.

MBLAQ's Seungho Mentioned by T-ara's Soyeon?

In her latest interview with Newsen, T-ara’s Soyeon shared a bit about her pre-debut life, and expressed her affections for KARA’s Gyuri.

Commenting on her school life, she revealed:

“I had talent ever since I was little, but didn’t begin my training until I turned 16. By conversing frequently with other friends who had the same dreams as me, we were able to connect. It’s true that I did stick out a bit as a student.

I wasn’t obsessed with my grades and led a relatively normal school life. I think it’s because I was sure of my dream that I focused on that entirely, and it was easy to make friends with people who had similar dreams since I went to an arts high school.

One of my closest friends is MBLAQ’s Seungho. We’re still close, and thanks to Seungho, I’ve gotten to know the other members of MBLAQ as well.”

Q: Who has made a great influence to you?

Lee Joon: Uknow Yunho Hyung. He would give us praises and frank advices such as “how to show your expression in a performance in the right way” and “You can do it better”. Yunho Hyung has shown great concern to us since the dance performance for “oh yeah” and has been guiding us since then. He would also say words such as “We shall work hard together to become a better singer!” and would tell us on how he works hard for his performance as well. I am really thankful to him.

Cho PD’s Block B finally unveiled themselves earlier today, and much attention is now being put on the individual members. allkpop was informed by Brand New Stardom that all seven members endured their fair share of hardships before they came together to be the group they are today.

The group’s oldest, Jaehyo, was actually a trainee for B2ST but eventually had to give up his dreams and return home after injuring his knee with heavy rehearsals. When he received surgery for his knee, he was later encouraged by MBLAQ’s Lee Joon to stand up and try again. Under his support, Jaehyo mustered the bravery to try out once more, and fortunately passed.

MBLAQ's Mir VS G.O past photo battle. Who wins?

Five member group MBLAQ's Mir and G.O had a surprise picture battle.

Mir updated his twitter on the 13th with "My past pictures..I'll be posting them one by one.." with a picture of his past.

In the photo, Mir was posing in his school uniform together with his sister. He looked cute with his round eyes and chubby cheeks.

G.O from the same group updated his twitter "Then I'll release my past picture too", and revealed a picture of himself wearing a red jacket and a beanie.

Mir then replied "I will not lose.." and posted a new photo along with his tweet. Having the same expression as he did in the first photo atrracted attention.

Lastly, G.O tweeted "I won't lose to Bang Cheolyong.. This is a Goryeo celadon i received as a gift after my birthday party." In the photo, G.O was sitting right in front of the birthday cake.

On the April 9th edition of KBS2TV’s “100 Points out of 100,” MBLAQ member Lee Joon put on a special performance for everyone.

Lee Joon put on a weird looking wig and with a nunchuck he imitated Bruce Lee. He even wore the Yellow jumpsuit that Bruce Lee famously wore in the “Game of Death”.

12 o'clock on the 6th, cable channel XTM 'Homme 3.0' revealed a method to recreate G.O's style in just ten minutes.

On the show, a way to choose the right style in order to become an ideal man was introduced .

Director Jung Jae Myung came to the studio and chose a trending style - dandy cut.

On April 16th, B2ST’s Yoseob and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon shared a photo of themselves made up and dressed as girls, leading fans to request a female duo concept.

Yoseob tweeted,

MBLAQ's Joon & B2ST's Kikwang have a dance battle on 100 points out of 100?

On the April 16th broadcast of “100 points out of 100“, the main dancers of B2ST (Kikwang the dance copy machine) and MBLAQ (Lee Joon) staged a dance battle. On this episode, they introduced a dance battle that involved both memory and improvisation, as each had to not only repeat the actions of the dancer before, but also add a new made up part to the dance afterwards.

This battle was the final, hotly contested match of a new team battle corner that was just introduced on the show. The matchup between B2ST’s Kikwang, whose dance skills had earned him a solo spot as AJ along with the position of the main dancer in his group, and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, a graduate of the prestigious Seoul Arts High School, was such that both would have to be at the top of their game.

The dancers both showed off their impressive dance and acrobatics skills, which not only brought the cheers of their teammates, but also the studio staff.

Popular K-pop group MBLAQ have kicked off their debut activities by unleashing the MV for their new song, “Your Luv“.

They’re notorious back in Korea for their sharp dance moves, and it looks like the boys are aiming to establish that same reputation in Japan. Playing with the concepts of ‘night’ and ‘day’, they’re seen tearing up the dance floor in flashy, textured outfits and hair that fangirls are sure to go wild for.

It’s a flashy video, but we’re not altogether sure why the producers decided to stick in “Golden Snitches” here and there across the screen. Check it out and toss us your thoughts!

MBLAQ's Seungho's nickname in high school to be "the devil" revealed by F.CUZ's Jinon?

MBLAQ's Seungho's high school nickname has been revealed to be "the devil".

On 3rd April's episode of KBS2TV's "Dream team season 2", Seungho and F.CUZ's jinon revealed their unique relationship.

MC Lee Chang Myung introduced Jinon as "someone who knows seungho well". Jinon then elaborated that "Seungho hyung was my senior in Anyang Arts high school, with the nickname of "the devil".

He also added "I have experience in gymnastics". Heo Hyung Hwan then responded, saying "That seems to be true. Even when talking, he has got his arms crossed behind his back."

Seungho who saw that scene quickly commanded jinon, "Put your hands down!" , and Jinon did it as commanded causing the cast to laugh.

T-ara's Soyeon reported some entertainment news on the April 2 episode of KBS2 '100 Points Out of 100' that made MBLAQ's Lee Joon panic.

During the 'Young Writers Talk' corner about "Unexpected romanticists", Soyeon stated a crucial piece of information, "I heard that Lee Joon has severe obsession".

She also added, "He had a girlfriend when he was a trainee. I heard that if she doesn't pick up his call, he would leave up to 140 missed calls." Lee Joon was taken aback by this statement. The real protagonist of this report, Lee Joon, couldn't justify himself so he finally confirmed the truth of Soyeon's statement.

Upon hearing this, Kim Shin Young teased, "Did you buy a telescope to observe her?". She ended by kicking and non-existent ball with Joon's head on it and shouted "Bye Joon", evoking an explosive reaction from the viewers.

MBLAQ's Lee Joon, "Sneaky Gnomeo? Brave Gnomeo?"

- How did you become the voice actor for 'Gnomeo'?

<Music Bank>(KBS2) During the recording, Jiyeon said, "Oppa, did you know? We're doing it together again!". So I learned about the casting after Jiyeon told me. Haha.


- What did you think at the time?

So I'm really going to see her again.


- What is the relationship between the two of you?

Haha! We're close singer friends. Although I'm her junior, but I'm definitely older than her age-wise. We became closer during <Jungle Fish 2>.


- How do you feel about this voice acting?

I didn't know it would be so difficult. To express something in English in Korean is the hardest. "Wow!" also has many different versions. The subtle differences are not easy to express.


- What were you most concerned about during the voice recording?

The tone of my voice. The taste and tone of voice are the most important in animation. I must use 'high tone' for exclamations, and a 'cheerful tone' during conversations, alternating the different pitches accordingly.


- When did you desire to act start?

I aspired to be an actor before I debuted as a singer. I seriously thought about acting. I hate hearing "Acting is easy for idol singers", so I worked hard.


- When we mention 'Lee Joon', 'firm abs' comes up.

I've always had a slender figure. My body suddenly grew when I was filming <Ninja Assassin> (2009). (laughs) I never had a muscular body before. I worked out a lot ever since then to continue maintaining my body.


- You seem thinner now?

That's right. Nowadays I seldom exercise because of work. I'm also human, I don't have abs all the time. I've also lost some weight so I seldom take my top off on stage lately. (laughs)


- No way, I don't believe you.

It's true! Singing, acting and practising dance, I really have no time to exercise!

MBLAQ reveals that Lee Joon has an abundance of bodily fluids?

On this week’s episode of Mnet’s “Wide Entertainment News,” the members of MBLAQ were asked a unique question on the topic of qualities idols should and should not possess.

All of the members unanimously agreed that all idols should have singing talent, but excluding Lee Joon, the members chose ‘bodily fluids’ as a quality idols should not show.

G.O. reminisced back to a time when Lee Joon had a runny nose during a program and stated, “Really, bodily fluids and idols don’t match.”

Leader Seungho added, “A while ago, I was riding the subway with Lee Joon. I was sitting on a chair and Lee Joon was standing beside me. When he began talking, all of a sudden saliva began pouring out of his mouth like a fountain.”

To the amusement of others, Lee Joon retorted, “Idols are human beings too, so of course they have bodily fluids you know!”

MBLAQ attend MCM’s ‘2011 Spring/Summer collection’ launch party?

Thanks to Seoul’s Fashion Week, a bevy of glamorous events have been springing up like bejewelled flowers to celebrate new collections and designs.

One such event was the ‘MCM 2011 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION’ launch party, which attracted the hottest stars to the Lotte Hotel on March 31st.

The new collection draws on the theme ‘Munich Breeze’, and is inspired by Munich, Germany of the ’60s and ’70s. MCM brand ‘DNA‘ added a modern twist to the style, and delivered looks that were chic with a slight vintage touch.

MBLAQ ranks first on Taiwan’s ‘Gmusic Chart’?

MBLAQ is proving to be quite the force to be reckoned with!

According to information revealed by J. Tune Camp on March 29th, MBLAQ’s Taiwanese-licensed album, “BLAQ STYLE 3D Edition“, ranked first on the Korean/Japanese album sales section of Taiwan’s ‘Gmusic Chart’ for the week of March 18th through the 24th.

Gmusic is comparable to that of Japan’s Oricon Chart, and is well known within the country itself. MBLAQ’s accomplishment, therefore, is quite the feat, especially considering how the group has yet to promote there.

MBLAQ commented, “We’re so thankful that our first official album is receiving love not only in Korea, but in Taiwan as well. We’ll continue to improve, so please look forward to us.”

Having concluded their “Again” promotions, the boys will be returning with a new album this June.
